Tequila Sunrise Beginning Bargello Table Runner/Wall Hanging

Known for its fascinating color gradation and complex appearance, a Bargello quilt gives the impression of movement.  While they may appear difficult to construct, Bargello quilts (at their core) use a simple mathematical combination of fabric strips to imply motion.  Learn everything you need to know to create your very first Bargello project that can be used as a bed or table runner or a wall hanging.

This class will be held Friday and Saturday, June 23rd and 24th, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm both days.  Cost is $75 and includes precut fabric kit (same as sample), full-color illustrated worksheets, organizational charts, exclusive pattern and instruction. This is a sewing intensive class.  Consistent seam allowance sewing is required.

1.  How to select and organize fabrics
2.  How to effectively square up, cut and sew multiple fabric strips
3.  Strip sets: what they are and how they are used
4.  Basic Bargello construction techniques
5.  How to read a Bargello design chart

This 2 day class will be held Friday, June 23rd and Saturday, June 24th, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm both days.  Class fee is $75 and includes: pre-cut fabric kit in one of two colorways, full-color illustrated worksheets, organizational charts, exclusive pattern and instruction!  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up your machine and prepare for class.  Feel free to bring a bag lunch, drinks or snacks.  Please note that all drinks must have a lid.

Supplies:  6" x 24" ruler (OR) Stripology XL ruler; rotary cutter & mat (at least 18" x 24"); iron & pressing mat (optional); sewing machine w/manual (extension table recommended) ; neutral thread for piecing and pre-wound bobbins; pins (numbered pins recommended); seam ripper; scissors or small snips; fabric marking pen; #2 pencil; glue stick.

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items purchased will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
