2023 BOM Skill Builder Sampler

Join instructor Collen Schaan in building your quilting skills with 12 amazing techniques including strip piecing, half square triangles, quarter square triangles, curved piecing, inset seams, paper piecing, applique, flying geese, one-patch blocks, wonky and improvisational piecing as well as framing and bordering techniques. Each month we tackle a new technique and by the end of the year you will have completed your very own Skill Builder Sampler! **Students need to have basic cutting and piecing skills. 

Due to space limitations and preparation needs, you need to choose one session and stick with that session unless prior instructor approval is given.  All Sessions will be the 2nd Thursday of each month with Session 1 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and Session 2 will be from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Class fee for all 12 sessions is $175 and includes 12 technique classes, printed instruction book, templates, specialty product samples & bonus patterns.

Supplies needed: sewing machine with manual; neutral thread color; pins; snips; seam ripper; marking pen; rotary cutter & mat; 6-1/2" square ruler; 12-1/2" square ruler; 6x24" ruler; iron & pressing mat; and fabric. Detailed supply lists for specific techniques will be given each month.

Please arrive early to set up your machine and be ready to begin when class starts.  Feel free to pack a lunch or snack. 

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items paid for will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
