Quilted Pinwheel Tote Bag

Join us for this 3 session class where we will make this large quilted tote bag with a firm base to keep it from sagging when it's loaded up.  We will add a hanging zipper pocket for your smaller things (credit card or some cash) and you will learn to do a beautiful flat binding for a nice smooth, professional finish.  You will also add leather straps and rivets taking your tote bag up a notch.  This class is rated for a confident beginner.  Finishes at 20w x 16.5H x 6D.  Classes will be held on Tuesday's, April 11th, 18th and 25th from 10 to 4 each day.  

The class fee is $85 for three sessions.  You will need: 1 10" layer cake pack; 1 yd coordinating fabric for lining & pocket; 1/2 yd accent fabric for base & bindings; 1 yd SF101; 1 yd Soft and Stable; 10" zipper tape w/1 pull; 60" of 3/4 or 1" wide leather strapping; 2 D-rings to match your strapping width; 8 rivets medium post length; Isacord or Glide thread for quilting and stitching; 12wt thread & needle if you wish to add hand stitching to the binding.  

You will also need to bring: Sewing machine & manual; 80/12 needle; walking foot with guide bar; 45mm Rotary cutter and mat; 24" long and 2-1/2" wide rulers; wooly pressing bar or tailor ham and iron; XL or Squared Stripology ruler highly recommended; seam ripper; WonderClips; chalk or water soluble marking pen; pencil; 1/8" double sided tape; bag or basting glue.

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items purchased will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
