Achromatic Wedding Star

Introducing the Quiltworx Bali Wedding Star with a contemporary flair!  The Achromatic Wedding Star seamlessly blends traditional charm with modern elegance, featuring the classic double wedding ring pattern accented by a striking star centerpiece.  Crafted with Riley Blake's exquisite black and silvery-grey Achromatic Dance fabric collection, it's an inspiring project.

Master the techniques used in any Quiltworx wedding ring design:
* cutting and organizing
* the Quiltworx method of arc piecing
* assembly tips for both scalloped or squared-up edges
* ideas and considerations for multi-color layouts

Complete your creation with a finished size of either 54" x 54" (4x4 rings) for a lap quilt or 27" x 108" (2x8 rings) for a bed runner. 

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.  Proficiency in traditional and curved piecing is required.  Sewing homework will be a part of the process.

This class will be held on Wednesday's, October 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th, and November 4th, from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. The cost for this class is $125.  Participants must purchase the Achromatic Wedding Star kit which includes pattern, foundation papers and fabric for quilt top and binding.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to prepare for class.  Feel free to bring a snack or light lunch.  Please note that all drinks must have a cap or lid.

You will also need: sewing machine w/manual, open toe and 1/4" foot; neutral thread; new needle (70/10 Microtex); large cutting mat (24" x 36" recommended); rotary cutter (28mm and 60mm); iron and pressing mat; small snips; seam ripper; 2.5" x 12" ruler and 6" x 24" ruler; Creative Grids Wedding Ring Template Rulers (optional - not necessary); 12" Add-a-quarter ruler (6" optional); fine pins; fold template, repositional glue stick; fabric glue stick; Purple Thang (optional); fabric marking tool; #2 pencil; highlighter; sharpie; (5) gallon size plastic bags; large binder clips; large paper clips; scotch tape.

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items purchased will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
