Zen Garden: Sew-A-Long

Join Colleen for this 6-month class and find your ZEN!  Learn the Quiltworx way of foundation paper piecing as you create this stunning exploded star layout.  The 80" x 80" pattern includes: diamond blocks that use a strip set and an innovative foundation piecing technique, a circular spiked backdrop and a modern striped border.

The optional class fabric kit showcases an exclusive Southern Comforts collection of jewel tone strips - picked just for you!

SKILL LEVEL: Requires basic paper piecing knowledge and traditional piecing skills, including curved piecing, to complete.

This class will be held on Friday's once a month from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, July 18th, August 15th, September 19th, October 17th, November 14th, and December 19th.  The cost for this class is $150, with pattern and fabric kits available for purchase.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to prepare for class.  Feel free to bring a snack or light lunch.  Please note that all drinks must have a cap or lid.

You will need: Zen Garden pattern (required) and fabric (see pattern or kit).  You will also need: sewing machine w/manual, open toe and 1/4" feet; neutral thread; new needle (70/10 Microtex recommended); large cutting mat (24" x 36" recommended); rotary cutter (28mm and 60mm recommended); iron and pressing mat; small snips; seam ripper; 2.5" x 12" ruler and 6.5" x 24" ruler; 12" Add-a-quarter ruler (6" optional); pins; fold template, repositional glue stick; fabric glue stick; Purple Thang (optional); fabric marking tool; #2 pencil; highlighter; sharpie; (13) gallon size plastic bag; large binder clips; large paper clips; scotch tape.

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items purchased will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
