Curvy Log Cabin - Scrap Buster!

Learn to make a curvy log cabin block effortlessly and accurately using the Creative Grids Curvy Log Cabin ruler.  This block uses larger width strips on one side to create the illusion of curved piecing.  This intricate block can be assembled to appear as circles, clamshells, crosses, and more depending on fabric placement.  Bring your scraps, get a curvy log cabin ruler (your choice of size) and make a quilt that only LOOKS difficult.  This is a great way to make use of scraps.  Block samples from both the 6" and 8" size rulers will be shown in class.  NOTE: You can take the class and make the blocks without the specialty ruler, however, accurate cutting and sewing will be needed which brings skill level to intermediate rather than beginner.

This class will be held on Saturday, June 21st from 10 am to 2 pm.  Class fee is $40. You will need: scrap fabrics (strips, squares and pieces), both light and dark.

You will also need: sewing machine with manual and 1/4" foot; good quality neutral thread and bobbin for piecing; sewing machine needle size 75, 80 or 90; square ruler and a  6" x 12" or 24" ruler; Curvy Log Cabin Ruler (optional but highly recommended); rotary cutter with cutting mat; iron and pressing mat; scissors, pins and seam ripper.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to set-up and prepare for class.  You may want to pack a lunch or snack.  Please note there is a lid requirement for all drinks.

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items purchased will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
