Pocket Compass: Introduction to Quiltworx Paper Piecing!  Join us for an introduction to Foundation Paper Piecing the Quiltworx way!  Known for  their beautiful modular designs, Quiltworx quilts are surprisingly easy to put together using foundation paper piecing techniques combined with traditional piecing assembly.  

We will cover the following:
* Understanding Quiltworx patterns
* Labeling methods and modular designs
* TSL, T-Temps, Unit Templates and TRP'S: What are they, how are they used?
* Foundation Paper Piecing (including a unique way to paper piece curves!)
* Creating mitered borders without Y-seams
* Tips and tricks to stay organized!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner Foundation Paper piecers welcome, but must have intermediate experience with traditional and curved piecing. Sewing homework may be required.

This is s 3 week class and please note that attendance will be necessary for all class dates.  If you know you will not be available during one or more of the class sessions, please refrain from signing up.  This class will be offered again early in 2025.  Class dates are Friday's, October 18th, 25th and November 1st, from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Cost for the class is $75.00 and required kit is an additional $61.50. There are 2 colorways for this kit!!

You will need: 1 pre-cut mandatory kit.  You will also need: sewing machine with manual and 1/4"  and open toe foot; neutral thread for piecing; NEW 70/10 Microtex needle; 6" x 12" or 6' x 24" ruler; 12" Add-A-Quarter ruler (6" optional); rotary cutter (45mm or 28mm with new blade); large cutting mat; iron and pressing mat; fine pins; seam ripper, small snips, paper scissors; Scotch repositionable glue; Purple Thang; fabric glue stick; scotch tape; Fabric marking tool (heat resistant); #2 pencil, highlighter and sharpie; (3) plastic bags (gallon size); large binder clips & paper clips.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to set-up and prepare for class.  You may want to pack a lunch or snack.  Please note there is a lid requirement for all drinks.

Class must have a minimum of 3 participants for the class to be held.  If the class does not make, you will have your choice of a refund using your original payment method, or store credit.  If you cancel or are a no show, no refund will be issued, however any kit items purchased will be given to you on your next visit.  Thank you.
