Southern Comforts Quilting was started by Robin and Tony Pfeiffer on historic Route 66 in Catoosa, Oklahoma, in 2020. Robin has been an avid quilter for 30 years after she took a beginning quilting class in Tulsa in 1990.
The Pfeiffers decided to open a store to provide the area a place to buy quilting supplies and equipment, as well as support the quilting community by way of classes and open sewing sessions. We are doing something a bit unique to our area: long-arm machine rentals! We have purchased 3 APQS Millineum machines and have equipped them with IntelliQuilter (iQ), the new standard in computerized quilting. These machines are available to rent by the hour or day once you have completed the 4 hour introduction class to learn to operate the machines. No more sending them out or waiting for a long-arm professional when you can do them yourself! This will save the quilter both time and money. Ever wanted to learn long-arm quilting but didn't have the space or funds to buy one? We have solved that problem. You can load several quilts at a time and complete them in record time.
